We are deeply concerned about the issue of housing instability faced by too many individuals and families in our community. That's why we've made it our mission to provide support and resources to those in need of a stable place to call home.
According to a 2014 How Housing Matters survey conducted by Habitat for Humanity, nearly half of the adults in the US have experienced unstable or insecure housing situations at some point in their lives, with the number rising to 59% for families whose income is less than $40,000. The survey also highlights the difficulty of finding affordable quality housing, with 58% of respondents stating that a family of four earning $50,000 would have difficulty finding such housing.
Recognizing the importance of having a stable place to call home as a key pillar of prosperity, the Alliance Foundation is committed to working with local shelters to provide resources and support to those in need. In addition to partnering with local shelters, we also provide direct stipends to individuals who are qualified to help them cover their housing expenses.
We believe that everyone deserves access to safe and affordable housing and that having a stable home is fundamental to prosperity. By working together with local shelters and providing support to those in need, we are helping to build a path to prosperity and a brighter future for all members of our community.
